How Can You Help?

As you can tell, I’m really excited about how God will use me in Kenya this summer! But before that can happen, I need to raise up both a prayer group and funds to support me on this mission. The total cost adds up to $4,528 in addition to the money I will need for food while I’m there. This is a lot of money, but I have faith that God will provide!
This is where you come in! Your prayers are so very important and I encourage you to commit to praying for my preparations and my time in Kenya. Also, if you feel led, you can make a contribution to funding my mission time by sending a check to:

CURE International

Please Mail to:

There is also an online donation option if that is easier for you!

This trip cannot happen without your prayers and support!

Let the Countdown Begin!

Only 103 days until I leave for Kenya! Going to Kijabe in May is on my mind literally all the time. I was recently looked at some pictures of family’s trip to Kenya and Uganda in 2005 when we visited the CURE hospital that I will now be spending 7 weeks working in this summer.

How can I not get excited about loving on these precious kids, and getting school credit at the same time!

That’s basically what I’ll be doing at AIC-CURE International Children’s Hospital of Kenya. I’ll be working with the physical therapist as well as playing with the children and talking with the mothers in the ward. CURE International is an organization with 20 hospitals and programs around the world, healing the sick and proclaiming the kingdom of God. That’s what Jesus did in his ministry on earth, and that is what God calls all of us to do; Heal the sick and proclaim the kingdom of God.

“When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He told them: “Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt. Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” So they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing people everywhere.” - Luke 9:1-6
